Dr. Raymond Miller is the forensic dental consultant to the Office of the Erie County Medical Examiner in Buffalo, New York. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences. He is a member of the federal Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) and was on the first teams that deployed to the WTC, Hurricane Katrina and the crash of Flight 3407. Dr. Miller retired in 2018 as a Lieutenant Colonel, after twenty-nine years as the dentist for the 107th Attack Wing of the New York Air National Guard in Niagara Falls, NY. He has served as the Odontology Section Chair of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and is the Vice-chair of the American Dental Association’s Standards Committee on Dental Informatics for Forensic Odontology. Dr. Miller has examined numerous victim identification cases involving thermal damage and conducted research in the field.
